We are thrilled to announce that auditions for this year's Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet are just around the corner! This beloved holiday classic offers dancers of all ages a chance to shine on stage and be a part of a magical experience. Whether you dream of being Clara, the Sugar Plum Fairy, or one of the enchanting characters from the Land of Sweets, this is your moment to step into the spotlight.
Audition Details:
Date: October 8, 2024
Time: Sign in at 6:00 PM, Audition begins at 6:30
Location: 559 Mirror Lake Drive, St. Petersburg
Age Groups: 6 -18
Online Registration: All participants are required to register via Nutcracker.com/Auditions for the St. Petersburg location prior to attending auditions. Please do so early, so there are no delays in proof of registration.
Master Class with a Professional Ballerina
In addition to our auditions, we are delighted to offer a unique opportunity for our dancers. We will be hosting a master class with a renowned professional ballerina! This class will provide invaluable insights, techniques, and inspiration from a seasoned performer who has graced stages around the world.
Master Class Details:
Date: October 8, 2024
Time: Sign in at 5:00, Class begins at 5:30 and will lead straight into the auditions
Registration: To register, cash or check made payable to Pinellas Studio of Dance will be accepted at sign in. Pinellas Studio of Dance Students: $25, all other studios $35.
To ensure everyone is prepared and looking their best, please adhere to the following dress code for the auditions:
Girls' Dress Code:
Leotard: Solid color (preferably black)
Tights: Pink ballet tights
Shoes: Ballet slippers (pointe shoes for those who are en pointe)
Hair: Neatly secured in a bun
Skirts and Shorts are optional
Boys' Dress Code:
Top: White fitted t-shirt or leotard
Bottoms: Black tights or dance pants
Shoes: Black or white ballet slippers
Hair: Neatly groomed
We encourage all dancers to arrive on time to warm up and complete the registration process. Bring your passion, dedication, and a smile as we embark on this enchanting journey together.
